DALE
A sandy beach five miles SW of Broadhaven, Dale offers flat water sailing at all states of the tide. The sheltered estuary means that many wind directions are gusty, the best direction being N / NW as the wind funnels down the Gann creating classic blasting conditions. When it’s lighter the flat water and clean wind are perfect for beginners and improvers so this is an ideal location for the whole family. When blowing E – SE there are nice rolling swells which are ideal for first time wave sailors. S / SW are not so good but the bay provides sheltered sailing with gusty winds protected from the full force of the strongest winds and gales. Low water spring tides can reveal many small rocks in the Gann, so mind those fins and feet!
