The conditions at East Wittering are similar to those at West but there’s only parking for about six cars. The launch point is at the end of Shore Road. The beach works best when there is a good swell running and the tide is low. The waves become really clean especially at mid tide in a W wind. High tide is more difficult as the beach has a pronounced shore break which puts off all but the more experienced windsurfer. The closest windsurfing store is 2XS at West Wittering (Tel: 01243 512552) . As well as windsurfing equipment they stock many other water sports equipment including SUP, surf and bodyboards.
