FINDHORN
Burghead Bay, west of Elgin, on the Moray firth, with winds SW through to W can have very good waves combined with a low pressure to the N or NW of Scotland. The five mile long beach which joins Findhorn with Burghead to the E faces NNW is sandy and offers good all round sailing conditions. Waves are fairly small but as with the rest of Scotland strong winds bring large swell. Findhorn Bay to the W of the village is sheltered. The Kimberley Inn in Findhorn is the local windsurfers meeting point.
