With a four mile sandy beach, you would be forgiven for thinking that Great Yarmouth is the ideal place to sail. However, the strong currents and long walk to the water make this a very unpopular location. Waves here can be high during an E wind and middle-high tide, so beginners are advised not to sail during these conditions.
