Laggan bay is a WSW facing curved beach, SW is cross at the north, with cross-shore in a westerly at the south. In the north access is via the ‘Big Strand’ (ask a local) situated on your left two miles before Bowmore village. For access to the south end of the beach go to Kintra, again, good swell, massive sandy five mile beach. Main accommodation is found in Kintra (bunkhouse), with B&B’s, hotels etc in Port Charlotte, Bowmore and Port Ellen.
