Situated three miles SW of the river Mersey, Leasowe is a good wave sailing venue in SW winds. This venue should not be sailed when the tidal range is 8.5 metres or more because of adverse currents at low tide as well as a two mile walk back to the car park! A constant and fairly strong rip tide from the river Mersey also makes this location not really suitable for beginners.
