This fairly large S facing beach provides good wave sailing conditions in most winds at Llantwit Major. There are two main waves; the upwind on the right (look out to sea) is very hollow and powerful, breaking in shallow water; the waves coming from the left are slower, but bigger with better depth of water. Both of these waves provide excellent wave sailing and jumping conditions but they also attract surfers. Overall, an excellent location for wave sailors all year round.
