LOWESTOFT
There are two beaches in Lowestoft though only the south beach is used regularly as it’s covered by the local Coast Guard, so the area is fairly safe if you do get into trouble. Sailing has to be carefully timed because low tide reveals rocks and windsurfing becomes dangerous. There is also a fairly strong rip tide so beginners are advised not to sail at this location at any time.
