LYTHAM ST ANNE’S
The sandy beach at Lytham St Anne’s is located in the mouth of the Ribble estuary so the currents can be fairly strong. There are no real waves but the swell and chop can pick up in stronger winds, creating excellent bump and jump sailing conditions. It is possible to sail here at most times of the day, but the strong rip tides and rough waters mean that this beach is not really suitable for beginners.
