The large sandy beach at Mablethorpe provides plenty of space to rig up and launch. However, this location is no good for beginners because of the strong rip tide and fairly big waves created by the sand bars. Low spring tide at the N end of the town means a VERY long walk back to the road.

Getting there: When you enter Mablethorpe head for the zoo, the entrance to the beach is signposted

Parking: Near the beach

Ideal Wind: NE – S

Accomodation: Hotels, B&B’s
