MONTROSE
The Links of Montrose stretch N from the town and faces SE. The beach is four miles and most windsurfing takes place at the town end of the beach. A good beach to sail in SW winds although it’s equally suitable for spring NE’s. For windless days this is a golfer’s paradise with two courses behind the dunes. Keep clear of the mouths of the Rivers North Esk and South Esk. For less experienced windsurfers it’s possible to sail in the Montrose Basin to the W of the town.
