There are several places to launch from in Morecambe Bay, but all offer very much the same sailing conditions. The sea disappears to the horizon at low tide so sailing time is greatly restricted. There are also strong rip tides so this is not the best beach for beginners. However, N winds create steep chop, which are excellent for bump and jump sailing.
