OXWICH BAY
This is one of the best beaches in the area for beginners because it is enclosed on three sides and feels very safe. The waters are usually flat and SW winds are best for learning or slalom sailing but in SE, the waves pick up and can be fairly good for wave sailing. In SW winds when other Gower beaches are blown out, Oxwich Bay will still be sailable because it’s more sheltered. The tide goes out a long way so come here at high tide or bring light kit!
