PEGWELL BAY
The problem with Pegwell Bay is the vast area of soft sand exposed at low tide so that any walk to the water with your kit is going to be long and arduous. Pegwell Bay used to be the old Hoverport terminal and it doesn’t have the reputation of being very clean either. Two to three foot swells roll in for miles and miles and anyone who likes jumping can jump to their heart’s content here. Best winds are S and SE while NE sweep over the broad sands.
