PORTOBELLO
Edinburgh’s ‘local’ beach, Portobello mile long sands face NE, which means that NW and SE winds give good cross-shores. This beach gets pretty crowded during the summer. The sand turns to shingle the further NE you go. It’s a bit of a sad looking area and you’re hardly likely to there specifically to windsurf, but if you happen to be in the city…
