Rhossili Bay is a massive W facing beach, which is deservedly popular with watersports enthusiasts, mainly because of the cliffs. In S or SE winds when the rest of the coast is flat, this is a good spot for some wave action. N winds can also create some good sailing conditions but avoid W winds, as the waves tend to blow out. On a windy day with good swell, this location will give you a day to remember, either because you had some good sailing or because you were totally battered!

Getting there: Take the A4118 W from Swansea, turn onto the B4271 after about 3 miles. Continue W and head for Llangennith, follow the road through the village and park in the Hillend campsite. There is a long walk over the dunes but if the conditions are good then the journey will be worth it
