SAUNDERSFOOT
This large sandy beach fronts a busy tourist village so there is plenty of accommodation and amenities. Most people launch from Coppet Hall beach, which has a large car park virtually on the beach. The sailing at Saundersfoot is best at low tide due to a wind shadow created by the hills behind the car park. The sailing conditions are usually best for slalom but it can get choppy with reasonable waves in the right winds. However, there are a few clusters of rocks that become covered at high tide and can easily remove a fin or daggerboard.
