SILECROFT
This SW facing sand and shingle beach provides different sailing conditions depending on the wind direction. With strong NE winds the water at Silecroft is fairly flat and is perfect for practising carve gybes and water starts. In SW winds the swell can pick up creating good small wave sailing conditions. It is possible to sail any time, though high tide with an onshore wind can create a shorebreak.
