SOUTHPORT
As the tide in Southport goes out 3 miles it is only possible to sail on a spring high tide, which means that patience is required if sailing here. However, when there is enough water to sail in and with strong SW winds, the conditions are excellent for slalom water sailing with the only real danger being a slight rip tide.
