ST COMBS
Clean NE facing sandy beaches flank the villages of St. Combs and Charlestown. Ideal in E and SE as there are no sheltering headlands. It’s also possible to access the S part of this beach by a track leading to Ratty Head. The narrow lane is off the A952 E of Crimond. There’s a large parking area right by the lighthouse and a wide path through the dunes leads to the beach. A strong rip tide occurs here in NE winds.
