TRAGH BAILE AONGHAIS
In the north beyond the mouth of Loch Gruinart you will find Tragh Baile Aonghais. Access is by following the road to the east of Loch Gruinart, but it can be limited due to deer hunting unless you obtain permission from the Islay Estates in Bridgend. The beach faces from N to NW, potential is enormous with a massive sand bar break at the mouth of the Loch. The walk in, if the last gate is shut is about three quarters of a mile over the dunes. Wind direction best from SW to E through W and E. N is onshore.
