WALBERSWICK
Situated in an unspoilt village, there are very few obstacles on the water and there is plenty of room to sail for beginners provided the conditions aren’t too strong. Walberswick has NE winds in the winter creating good waves, which are excellent for more experienced wave sailors. The summer months offer slightly calmer, flatter waters but strong rip tides mean that conditions are by no means ideal for novice sailors. During all seasons there is a big shore dump at high tide and it is recommended that sailors who have difficulty launching should choose another spot to sail. Although there is plenty of parking near the beach, during weekend summer months it is advisable to get there before 9.00am.
