WALNEY ISLAND
This sandy beach is located on the W side if the island and provides fairly flat-water sailing. The sailing area itself is a channel that runs past Walney Island so it is possible to sail at most times. However, wind against tide can create bad chop and there is also a strong tide present so this beach is not really suitable for beginners.
