Just south of Jennycliff Bay and with much easier access, Bovisand Bay is sailable in just about any wind apart from N to E. The currents around the head can reach 10 knots at times.
Getting there: From Plymouth head for Mountbatten, follow the signs for Jennycliff/Staddon Heights
Parking: Payable car park on both sides of the bay
Ideal Wind: S, W & N
Amenities: Cafe, toilets nearby and shops both sides of the bay.
Suitable for: Intermediates
