What is the classifieds forum?

The classifieds forum is only for non trade private kit sales. The classifieds sales forum is free for all private users. The aim of the classifieds forum is to help forum users sell unwanted kit to a new home.

We would like you to view it as a windsurfer’s car boot sale.

Please keep to the following guidelines..

Not more than 2 ads from the same user on the front page at any one time or they’ll all be removed. Either combine   multiple items within one ads or wait until the previous two ads have dropped off the front page.

Do not re-post an item within 24 hours of the initial post. Constantly re posting isn’t fair on other sellers.

Ads without a price will be deleted. Failure to stick to these rules may result in an ad being removed without warning.

The forum is intended for private users to sell their old unwanted kit. It is not intended for trade activity and forum users falling into this category will be asked to stop. It is at our discretion to deem ads private or trade.

Items For Sale

Please keep ‘For Sale’ items within the For Sale forum. Do not post ads in the main forums. Such posts will be deleted.

Wanted Ads

If there is a specific product that you want post your request within the ‘wanted forum’ only.

Paying a seller – Common Sense

Paypal is the most popular method of making a payment for private sales but there are different services offered by Paypal with different levels of risk. Payment via Paypal is not cost free and Paypal will take a commission. Paypal does offer a small level of protection for the payer should a dispute arise.

Selling Goods

It is the seller’s responsibility to ensure the goods arrive at their destination. If it goes missing in the post then it’s the seller’s responsibility to deal with the situation.

Registered post, Special Delivery, Courier are recommended to ensure smooth delivery. Ordinary 1st or 2nd class post offers very little protection or proof of delivery for the seller. We strongly advise that you at least get proof of postage of the item however, but even with proof of postage if the item goes missing or is damaged in transit then it is still the responsibility of the seller to either replace the items or refund the buyer.  High value items should always be insured against loss or damage before they are dispatched.

By participating in the selling or buying of any private sale on the forum you are entering into a contract with the buyer or seller only. Arcwind Ltd cannot take any responsibility for items that are mis-sold, go missing or are damaged. We cannot and will not arbitrate on sales between private individuals.

If Something Goes Wrong

Always contact the other party first. Do not post details of your dispute on the forum – it will not solve the problem and will cause further delays. Contact the other party in the first instance and calmly explain the situation. Most buyers and sellers are sensible individuals who will do everything they can to resolve issues with their sales if you give them the chance in the first place. Be realistic in your expectations on delivery.
