Day 2 of the 2018 Cornwall Wave Classic continued with action for all fleets in chunky starboard tack Gwithian, despite heavy hail showers the organisers ploughed through the eliminations with now Cornwall based Andy King showing the benefit of local knowledge and starboard jumping prowess to take down Ben Proffitt and Adam Lewis before Phil Horrocks stopped his charge. Phil and Timo Mullen then battled it out in a close heat with Phil taking the win before challenging James Cox for a super final which saw James come out on top, his first BWA win! In the women Sara Kellett beat Sarah Hilder while Jack Petit, Jim Brookes Dowsett and Joe Trinder took the single elimination wins in the Amateur, Masters and Junior respectively.
