The best launch point is to the E of Eastbourne where there is a large park and grassy rigging area. Beachy Head shelters the beach from SW prevailing winds until you sail out a bit and the beach is better when there’s a bit more S in it or NE, SE is onshore. A shingle beach with plenty to do in town in the evenings.
Getting there: From Eastbourne take the A259 and follow the signs for the Butterfly Centre
