BORACAY ISLAND,
PHILLIPINES

THE LOW DOWN:

Boracay is a tropical island, perfect for windsurfing. With sea temperatures averaging 27˚C, you can windsurf in paradise in just your boardshorts or bikini.

CONDITIONS AND WHEN TO GO:

October to May, the prevailing northeast trade winds blow cross onshore with Dec, Jan and Feb being the strongest.

LOCAL SPOT:

Bulabog bay is a 3km long white sand beach with a fringing reef on the outside. Low tide produces glassy flat water. Mid tides prove perfect for learning, with a shallow sandy bottom and large play area. High tide allows some swell into the lagoon offering 4-6’ deep water, bump and jump type conditions and breaking waves along the reef for the experienced.

ABOUT THE CENTRE:

The Funboard Center Boracay is in the perfect “upwind” location, offering brand new 2017 equipment from Gaastra and Tabou. The perfect spot to learn or to improve your level, with warm, waist high water. The lagoon is protected by the reef, so beginners will learn quickly and enjoy the calm water. Also located within the centre is Yoga, Kitesurfing and Cafe Tabou.

WHERE TO STAY:

Reef Retreat Resort has been awarded Tripadvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” 2011, 2013, 2014 & 2015. Set in Lush tropical gardens, Reef Retreat consists of 12 deluxe rooms and 3 deluxe suites with lounge and kitchen. All rooms have a large private balcony/veranda with garden or sea views, free in-room WiFi, A/C, Cable TV, mini bar etc.
