The SUPER_HERO remains THE ultimate World Cup Wave sail, which always works optimally in all wave conditions around the globe. Due to the completely neutral and balanced draft position, numerous constructional changes in material optimisations as well as the LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION, it’s unrivalled neutral feeling in the hands as well as stability and control in every situation – it makes the SUPER_HERO the favourite sail of three times PWA Wave World Champion Victor Fernandez. Why? It rides very smoothly, is as responsive as a 3-batten sail in float and ride conditions and has real bite at the decisive moment. The SUPER_HERO is direct when pumping, planes early, develops real drive on the wave, is stable and offers this special neutrality for superior control thanks to its centred draft position.
In addition to optimizing performance, reducing the sail weight was a primary goal in the latest reincarnation of the SUPER_HERO. With a modified panel layout, reinforcement patches with high-strength high-modulus fibres “Made in Germany” and a new mast sleeve construction, designer Kai Hopf achieved a weight reduction of a clearly noticeable 200 to 300 g! Unlike other brands, the thickness of the fabric and film used has not been reduced and thus the well-known durability of the SUPER_HERO is fully maintained! That’s exactly why we call it LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION.
Performance, dynamics and riding feel the benefit from the changed luff length and a new mast sleeve construction that comes without a seam at the leading edge (ONE PIECE SLEEVE) which allows for millimetre-precise tuning and a refined shape, resulting in a sensitive, more harmonious reflex. The profile depth has been slightly reduced creating slightly less volume, which simplifies the handling, makes it even easier to control in overpowered conditions and offers maximum control during challenging jumps and in massive swell. Due to the more elastic ONE PIECE SLEEVE, the new profile works extremely efficiently and therefore has not lost propulsion in underpowered conditions.
Every single size of the SUPER_HERO is perfectly tuned and matured down to the last detail. The batten rotation remains buttery smooth even with minimal clew tension and the top works very actively, swallows hard gusts and supports acceleration. Therefore, you can confidently choose to ride a smaller size than many other wave sails.

SUPER STAR HD
DUE TO THE LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION THE LEGENDARY, EXTREMELY CRISP AND RESPONSIVE WAVE SAIL WITH THE MOST DIRECT POWER ON/OFF SWITCH PRESENTS ITSELF EVEN LIGHTER, BETTER AND WITH AN INCREDIBLY WIDE RANGE OF USE. IT WORKS WITH EITHER SINGLE-FIN OR MULTI-FIN WAVE BOARDS AND EVEN IN FREEWAVE JUMPING CONDITIONS.
With 4 battens and a full XPly construction, the new SUPER_STAR HD is ready for ambitious wave riders. However, its forward draft position guarantees a very strong performance spectrum and extremely wide range of use from classic wave riding to freewave bump & jump. The SUPER_STAR HD easily manages the balancing act from a perfect day with classic down the line conditions to sessions in gusty, sometimes underpowered onshore conditions. Especially the smaller sizes (4.2 and smaller) have been extensively optimized in favour of maximum control during jumping and riding down the line.
The excellent performance is mainly determined by the more forward and slightly higher draft position. This gives the SUPER_STAR HD its individualised character, whose ride and handling characteristics immediately feel familiar. You don‘t need any time to get used to it in order to get going right away. The sail feels consistent-ly light and balanced in your hands but reacts very directly and spontaneously – also regarding power on/off. Riders who prefer tri fin boards, who like to do radical cutbacks in minimal space and who also like to steer the board with their back foot will love the SUPER_STAR HD! It can be laid down playfully in the bottom turn and the propulsion set to „off“, thrills with hardly noticeable batten rotation and generates enough propulsion to keep the speed high even in onshore winds to attack the next wave. Since the sail generates more lift in the upper area, the board gets lifted improving the low-end power.
All this works even better and easier now that the SUPER_STAR HD has been put on a diet and slimming makeover with the LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION. This is achieved through an optimized panel layout, reinforcement patches featuring a high-strength high-modulus „Made in Germany“ fibre and a new mast sleeve design, which, depending on the sail size, results in a 200 to 300 g lower weight! Unlike other brands, the film thickness of the centre panel has not been reduced, so the well-known durability of the SUPER_STAR HD does not suffer in any way! On the contrary: The entire sail is now made from X-Ply, which minimizes possible damage after a wash and at the same time gives the sail a slightly more elastic behaviour.
Performance, dynamics and ride feel benefit the modified mast sleeve design, which no longer has a seam at the leading edge (ONE PIECE SLEEVE). This allows for millimetre-precise tuning and a refined shape, resulting in a more sensitive, harmonious reflex. Together with a slightly reduced sail foil tension the sail generates a softer power delivery. This makes it more stable to sail and very balanced in the hands. The SUPER_STAR HD scores with the convincing combination of performance, handling and control, on/off and the necessary power to have maximum fun across all conditions.

IDOL LTD
LIGHT – LIGHTER – A RADICALLY LIGHTWEIGHT SAIL. THE IDOL LTD IS THE COMPLETELY PERSONALISED PRO MODEL OF FREESTYLE HERO ADRIEN BOSSON. BOASTING INCREDIBLE HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS, THE SAIL WAS CREATED BY DESIGNER KAI HOPF, IMPLEMENTING ALL THE DESIRES OF THE RIDER HIMSELF.
The result is the most highly developed and extreme freestyle sails that we have ever manufactured. All sizes are sensationally lightweight because the innovative and high-tech laminate ODL and the 100-micron ULTRA FILM were used instead of the usual XPLY material. These materials are 50% lighter than previous sailcloths, which makes the IDOL LTD weigh about as much as a 1.5 m² smaller SUPER_HERO (e.g. 4.8 and 3.4).
The IDOL LTD can do everything a freestyler needs it to. In addition to its absolutely neutral handling, it gives no unwanted feedback and is incredibly lightweight in your hands, leaving you free to concentrate fully on your moves and manoeuvres. You’d think you were turning without your sail, since the IDOL LTD rotates incredibly fast through all tricks and is completely balanced in the wind during duck moves. The extremely high clew and the short boom length make ducking manoeuvres so fast that almost no speed is lost. Not only will the IDOL LTD boost your success rate for difficult manoeuvres, it will also make it a lot more fun to meet new challenges. New, virtually unbreakable battens are used, which can easily handle even the roughest wipe outs.
Simply awesome: when used for foiling the IDOL LTD features a special clew eyelet to be able to position the sail even more upright!
Important: Although this is something other manufacturers are reluctant to mention, achieving the lowest weight can only be achieved by reducing the thickness of materials. Because the thickness of the ODL yacht laminate was kept to a minimum, the material’s UV stability is limited. As a result, this sail is not subject to the DUOTONE 2+3 YEAR WARRANTY.
