PIERRE MORTEFON JOINS PHANTOM
Phantom foiling have just signed ex world champion racer Pierre Mortefon. We hear from Alex Udin, CEO and sail designer who tells us about this major signing!
“I am pleased to announce the addition of Pierre Mortefon to the Phantom Foiling team, where he will be joining our windsurfing lineup alongside Nicolas Goyard.
Racing has been in Phantom’s DNA since its inception, our legacy that includes designing cutting-edge sails and pioneering foiling catamarans, resulting in three world titles in F18 catamarans and four in windsurfing.
Phantom is surrounded by some of the best America’s Cup designers and the most talented athletes, all these achievements would not have been possible without them.
Pierre will be competing in foil, as well as in fin slalom, utilising our winning designs, such as the IRIS Rs sails, which notably secured the French Slalom championship two years ago with Alex Cousin.
After a well-deserved two-month break, Pierre hopped onto his new gear and shattered his personal record, reaching 40.30 knots in 2 seconds, gaining entry into the super-exclusive 40 knots foiling club with Nico.
I am extremely excited to embark on this collaboration. Pierre and I share a common goal: winning the PWA ,World Titles in Foil Slalom and Slalom X.”
