Get Directions

Launching is fairly easy at this pebble beach. The best wind direction is S or SW but it can also be sailed in an E (Side shore). In strong winds or spring high tides there is a strong shore break but as the tidal range is small, Sandgate can be sailed at low water without having to walk for miles.

Getting there: A259 coast road E from Brighton via Rottingdean

Parking: Car parks in the vicinity

Ideal Wind: S, SW, E

Accomodation: In town

Amenities: Toilets

Suitable for: Intermediates
