Background
The T4 is Tushingham’s zero cam freeride sail and this  category is something that Tushingham have always been very successful with in the past. The T4 has been a popular sail in their range for some time now and has had a few subtle tweeks over the years.

At a glance
It has six battens with a fairly low foot and slightly cut back clew. The T4 is largely unchanged from last year’s model, it is well built, with critical re-enforcements where needed and comes in three different colour options that really standout on the water.

Rigging
It is an easy sail to rig and very simple to tune. There is a decent tuning range that can be tweaked to get the very best performance but at the same time it is not too critical of fine tuning and handles great on all settings. For rigging and tuning advice there are some great tips on the Tushingham website.

Performance
The Tushingham is light and perfectly balanced in the hands with a neutral and soft feel. It powers up in the lightest of winds, getting you going extremely early and in the gusts it handles superbly, giving it the most impressive wind range. At the top end there is plenty of performance to power any board to its full potential and the handling is so controlled that you will want to keep on pushing. Through manoeuvres it handles beautifully, with smooth power control and rotation combined with its lightweight and well-balanced feel, it can be thrown around with ease.

The verdict
The T4 is a classic freeride sail that delivers to all levels. It is easy, fun and hassle free to use and it also has a seriously high level of performance that is very easy access to all conditions.
