Windsurfer Magazine Presents: The 2XS West Wittering Wave Classic

It’s official…the West Wittering Wave Classic is back! This year, the event is proudly presented by Windsurfer Magazine, who will also be celebrating the launch of their brand-new global publication. Get ready for three days of world-class windsurfing, waves, and socials. Don’t miss it!

2XS: “Windsurfer Magazine presents the 2XS West Wittering Wave Classic, Round 6 and the final event of the UK 2025 BWA tour. The starboard tack venue has classic south coast conditions and 2XS will host the BWA event.

We are pleased to announce that the new Windsurfer Magazine will launch their new worldwide windsurfing publication at the event party on the Saturday night.  Bring your Hawaiian shirt it’s going to be a blast!  The Team behind the new dedicated windsurfing magazine will be at the party come and meet Oli ,Tris, Lucas and Dan .

We have socials planned for Thursday night – (Pro sign in); Friday (Am’s sign in) and Saturday “Windsurfer” magazine launch.  Sunday prize giving will be held at West Wittering beach café.

Simon Bassett said, “We have been committed to windsurfing since 1989 – we have a windsurf club, windsurf and water sports school, shop and rental centre on the beach, it feels like the right time to get back into the contest world.”

We have some great Sponsors at this event Windsurfer Magazine, Duotone, Goya, Sungod, West Wittering Estate, Goldendays Brewery, Inside Out, Perry Property and The Wittering – there will be cash prizes for the Pros and plenty of product prizes.

We will also be running a Vintage board contest – bring something from your collection, there will be a prize for the finest classic wave board!

Windsurfing events have been happening at West Wittering since the late 70s – there feels like there is a renaissance in windsurfing.  It’s an exciting opportunity to showcase the local windsurfing talent, with many frothing to see the comeback of an event to the area ”We look forward to showing what the south coasters can bring to the contest”, says Simon.
