Weymouth Speed Week is all systems go for its 50th anniversary this year! It’s running from the 15-21 October 2022 at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and Pete Davis tell us more:
“There’s been a record entry of over 90 riders from all over Europe, bolstered by the inclusion of the wing foiling fleet who want to find out who is the fastest wing foil rider! The weekend will see the opening of the event, but for non-participants there will be loads of demo kit and advice from the winging and wind foiling brands including Sabfoil, Core Kites, Fanatic, Duotone, JP, Cabrinha and AFS foils, plus all the wing gear from the OTC. It’s going to be a wing fest!Icarus, the first foiling boat from 1972 has been restored and is taking part, as is Paul Larsen and Sailrocket, the fastest sailing craft in the world.Tickets for the opening night’s 70s themed party at the Academy are £18 which includes a DJ, BBQ and free Budvar for the first one hundred people to turn up.
