Although it’s possible to launch from Hastings sea front, most local windsurfers head slightly west to St. Leonard’s where the main launching point is just in front of the Bowling Green. A shingle and sand beach it can be sailed in anything from a SW to E. The usual south coast dump occurs in high winds at high tide.
