KEFALOS WINDSURFING: KEFALOS BAY, KOS, GREECE.
The Lowdown
Kefalos Windsurfing is a family-run windsurf centre on the beautiful island of Kos. Situated in Kefalos Bay, windsurfers can find perfect conditions for all levels, and enjoy some spectacular scenery. Regardless of your windsurfing level, beginners to pro – Kefalos gives everyone an unforgettable holiday!
Conditions and when to go
Kefalos Bay supplies reliable, cross-offshore conditions offering mirror flat water. Local thermics and the geological formation of the bay make the spot consistently windy from June to the end of September. Light winds in the mornings are ideal for beginners and SUP’ing. The afternoons give an average of 25 knots (June to September), which is perfect for intermediates, every level and beyond!
Local spots
The sandy beach ensures easy access to the water and no hazardous obstacles get in the way of a fantastic session! A kite spot is reachable within 5 mins (Kohilari Beach), as well as a wave spot called Theologos, which boasts some of the best waves in the Aegean.
