A shingle beach facing almost directly east, which works best in SE and S. SW tends to be bumpy close to the beach. Slapton was used as the battle practice area for the D-Day landings in WW2.
Getting there: Slapton Sands is on the A379. The launch area is on the coast road close to the monument, opposite the car park
