Conditions and when to go
At Elafonisi, thermal NW winds guarantee planing conditions almost every day typically around 15-20 knots. There you will enjoy flatwater and steady side-shore wind. Falasarna beach is exposed to the famous ‘Meltemi’ wind, which blows up to 30 knots, while with west winds, Chania’s, Kalamaki beach, provides perfect windsurfing/wing-foiling conditions. With different wind angles, Falasarna & Kalamaki beaches bring good waves for regular surf & SUP activities.

Local spots
Elafonisi spot is located to the southwest of Crete, with crystal clear flatwater and exotic scenery, a windsurfing-wing-foiling paradise for beginners and experts. Falasarna spot is located in the western part of Crete at a huge tropical-style beach, providing ideal conditions with NE winds and amazing wave surfing conditions with west winds. Kalamaki Beach is located just 5km from Chania city centre. It boasts a stunning bay with shallow water and a family-friendly beach, providing ideal windsurfing/wingfoil conditions with west winds and perfect surf conditions with summer north winds.
