Windsurf magazine has a new Editor-in-Chief, seasoned windsurfing journalist, Chris Yates. A graduate of Swansea University, Chris has been the PWA’s Press Officer for over 11 years, delivering live commentary and features to a large worldwide audience and brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Most importantly, Chris is a passionate windsurfer, and whether it’s sailing in his home waters of the south of England, or more tropical climes on his travels, he understands completely the wind addiction that drives windsurfing’s disciples.

Chris’s appointment, working alongside fellow PWA media professional, and Windsurf magazine’s Editor-at-Large, John Carter, means readers can look forward to editorial from one of the strongest windsurfing media teams in the world, committed to bringing analysis and entertainment in equal measure from every corner of the earth.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with such a great crew at ‘Windsurf’ and connect with so many windsurfers from around the world, but I depart knowing the ‘ship’ is in good hands.” says former Editor-in-Chief, Finn Mullen, who after 9 years at the helm, is leaving to take up employment in another sector, but will continue his relationship with the magazine and its sister publication, SUP International, as a senior writer. Chris and Finn are working together for a smooth handover period, but Chris will be in charge for the November / December 2023 issue and can be reached at [email protected], as long as it’s not windy!
