Conditions & When To Go
During summer, the thermal wind blows side-onshore from the southeast. Mornings usually begin with gentle airs – offering idyllic conditions for children and beginners, while during the afternoon, the wind often increases to 15-20 knots, transforming the Golf de Roses into a paradise for experienced windsurfers and wing-foilers, who can perfect their passion. The remainder of the year generally consists of the ferocious Tramontana or the south wind known as – Garbi, which creates conditions for expert riders.
Local Spot
It is undoubtedly the best spot along the beautiful coast of Costa Brava. Several sandbanks offer expansive shallow water areas – offering safety and security. During July & August, certain areas are restricted for specific sports. ION CLUB Golf de Roses segregates specific areas for windsurfing and kitesurfing
About The Centre
The ION CLUB Golf de Roses is located at the southern end of the bay and offers windsurfing, wing-foiling and kitesurfing courses as well as equipment-rental for all three sports. Here beginners, intermediate levels and more experienced riders can easily progress.
